Landon Westerfield, Voice & Piano

Countertenor, Landon Westerfield is pursuing doctorate in vocal performance and literature University of Illinois studying with Professor Yvonne Redman. He completed a masters in choral conducting and vocal performance at Illinois State University, studying with Dr. Justin Vickers and Dr. Karyl Carlson. He received his undergraduate degree from Eastern Kentucky University in performance and music education with an emphasis in voice and piano. His operatic roles include Oberon in Britten’s Midsummers Nights Dream, Hansel in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, Romeo in Bellini’s I Capuleti ei Montecchi, and Cherubino in Mozart’s The Marriage Of Figaro. As an oratorio soloist he has sung Mozart’s Exsultate Jubilate, Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, Faure’s Requiem, Haydn’s Missa Brevis St Joannis de Deo and Paukenmesse, Mozart’s Mass in C Minor, Vivaldi’s Gloria, and Handel’s Messiah.
