Kody Hartman
Trombone Instructor | Springfield, IL
Kody Hartman graduated from Missouri State University in 2016 with a Bachelor's in Music Education, and he graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in 2018 with a Master's in Trombone Performance. He has an extensive teaching history, having taught lessons to trombone players in all age ranges from different schools throughout Missouri. While he was at the University of Central Arkansas, Kody served as the Graduate Assistant for the trombone studio, where he was responsible for teaching trombone lessons to music minors and non-majors. His philosophy of teaching is to cater to the needs of each individual student - you never teach the same lesson twice!
Kody also has a long performance history, having played in Carnegie Hall and Le Poisson Rouge in New York City, as well as New Orleans, St. Louis, and even Tokyo. He has performed many different styles of music, including classical, jazz, musicals, and chamber music. You can hear Kody on the trombone album called "Connections," which is a solo album by his former teacher, Justin Cook.
In his spare time, Kody enjoys spending time with his wife, playing video games, and playing DnD.
